Why undertake Dispersion Modelling?
Atmospheric emissions from all industrial facilities, as well as roads, farms or any other pollutant source, can cause adverse air quality impacts at sensitive locations, meaning accurate dispersion modelling is vital in identifying issues at an early stage in the design process. Site specific considerations, such as building effects, local topography and prevailing meteorological conditions, can all be included within the model. This produces a detailed representation of the actual location for use in the assessment.
Dispersion modelling is recognised as a critical tool in the determination of potential pollutant concentrations, meaning assessments are often requested in support of Environmental Permit and planning applications.
